How do you choose Truman's world
Recently I revisited Truman’s world again. I watched it many years ago. At first I just wanted to make Jim Carrey laugh at myself, but found that it was not the case at all. After a long time, I didn’t dare to revisit it. I always felt too cruel and cruel. , I am afraid to think of ourselves, the movie and the real world are so close, and the controlled Truman is not our own.
Many years ago, watching Truman walk out the door without looking back and step into the outside world. On the one hand, I was fortunate for him and finally got rid of his controlled life and became himself; on the other hand, I had to worry about being in prison. Here, his relatives and friends are all actors. He can leave without worrying about it. When returning to the real world, the pressure of life is everywhere. Where can Truman want to get rid of the bondage?
I watched it again after many years, and I was particularly impressed with the producer Christoph. If Christoph was just a producer at the beginning, as time goes by, he is a producer who loves Truman from the bottom of his heart. The filmmaker loves Truman as his own child. The look in his eyes tells everything. He wants to give Truman a "normal" life. He thinks what life is best for him. This filmmaker is also "God." "Within the allowable scope, work hard to build what he thinks is an "ideal country" for Trumen.
So in the "ideal country" and the "real world", how would you choose in reality? Truman is a 30-year-old adult. Of course he understands that real life is not easy after leaving. Inside the door is a planned life without fear. Outside the door is an unforeseen terrible world. Inside and outside the door, we also face it ourselves. Make a choice!
When you have a dream and a yearning, you continue to live a patterned "normal" life step by step, or sail on the sea like a Truman, and after surviving the storm, you still continue to sail without compromise.
Producer Christophe said, "If he has ambitions, he can leave at any time; if he is determined to find out the truth, no one can stop him."
Christophe believes that Truman, as an adult, after going through the storm, and after some careful teaching, weighing the pros and cons, will make ordinary people's "normal" choices and continue to live in Xanadu.
