The most surprising/unsurprising thing about the Nana movie for fans of the original is that almost every line of dialogue/scenario is copied directly from the original comics. These days/dialogues may not feel very good to viewers who have never seen the original, but comic book fans seem to be very familiar, and can even remember which dialogue/plot was cut.
Maybe in order to accommodate the time, or maybe because there are too many classic/key scenes in the minds of eccentric fans, the movie feels a bit under-explained in the plot, and even the editing sometimes seems broken and messy.
The movie completely downplayed the relationship between Nana and Tai. The bond between Nana and Nana was not very deep, and there was no mention of Nana's weak character.
