First movie review on Douban

After a long wait, I read the script over and over again for them to find the movie script on the Internet, and bought a bare compressed DVD for the postage almost equal to the price. If I were to rate these two films by my standards, I would say this is the best movie I've ever seen.
I have to say that the few movies I have seen make it difficult for me to see the level of skill in the movies, and at the same time, I can only judge whether I love or hate you from the plot and language. There is no doubt that the plot is romantic, but such an accidental gathering and separation can become a beautiful memory in a person's heart for a lifetime. After reading the script, I was amazed by the language in the play. I really want to recommend this movie to many people I know, but I don't know what label to use to define this movie. In the script, I can circle countless favorite sentences with a pen, but I don't know what kind of movie to tell others. What was Jesse and Celine talking about for nine years? I've seen this movie a few times with some people separately, and each time I want to ask the people around me this question. The answer is certainly not the recurring sex&fuck. Is it marriage? men and women? psychology? philosophy? Life? Maybe, everything. Maybe, when I'm pitching this movie to them, I should just say, it's one of my favorites. It should be enough.
It's really interesting.
One of the most impressive parts of watching Before Sunrise is that the skins of the two protagonists are glowing with pink light, and the whole picture has a bright sunshine color. I like the music of the violin on the train very much. Moving forward seems to be a metaphor for an endless journey. Well, it was originally a film about travel. Both are young and cute. From time to time, Ethan reveals some American schoolboy humor. In the chat, the two people just walked through so many places, and there are metaphors in the people they meet. Some are like the RPGs you played as a child or the animated series and fables you've seen. So many people you meet are just symbols. They're signs on the track that mark the distance, telling you how far you've traveled. The two were only young, kissed each other countless times, and played games on the phone, but when they separated, they were completely different from each other. As for that promise, it doesn't matter whether it will be fulfilled or not.
Au revoir. is my favorite French phrase.
It must be very happy, but I can't imagine the emotions in the hearts of the audience who were touched in 1995 when they walked into the theater again in 2004 after a real nine years. I don't know because I opened Before Sunset within nine seconds of watching Before Sunrise. I can't wait nine years, that would drive me crazy. It's not just Jesse and Celine who have changed, everyone in front of the screen should be able to feel this heavy heart. Nine years of time are not only engraved on their faces. Some things haven't changed, like You know by Jesse, You know what I mean by Celine. The romantic excitement of the year has matured, their speech speed has become faster, and they will argue a few words about one thing. Celine's sometimes disappointment in life manifests itself. After all have passed the baptism of life, maybe they can see the real life. Jesse is just nostalgic, and it's an interesting ending to the end of the film. Keep saying You are gonna miss the flight, keep saying I know.

There are two places I want to cry when I watch it. Come Here and their wet eyes in the audition room in Before Sunrise; Jesse starts telling the story of his next book in Before Sunset. And now I'm actually in tears listening to Come Here write a review. In your unhurried words, you can't see the sadness of this song, the speed of my typing, the tears I left, and the excitement I feel right now.
I haven't cried in a long time.
During the audition, the two of them secretly looked at each other, and secretly turned their eyes away when the other party looked at them.
How can we be together.
Even if you like it again, how can we be together?

"Well, supposedly, men lose their ability to hear higher-pitched sounds and women eventually lose hearing in the low end. I guess they sort of nullify each other or something."

"People always exchange phone numbers, addresses, they end up writing once, calling each other once or twice."
"Right. Fizzles out. Yeah, I mean, I don't want that. I hate that."
"I hate that, too."

"And he looks down and all of sudden , uh, he's 16. And his highschool sweetheart is dropping him off at, at home. And they just lost their virginity, and she loves him, and the same song is playing on the, on the car radio, and she climbs up and starts dancing on the roof of the car. Now he's worried about her. And she's beautiful with, uh, a facial expression, you know, just like his daughter's."

"....Alright, let me, let me ask you one question."
"What?"
"Do you just plug that name in for every guy that comes up here?"
"Oh, yes, of course. What do you think? That I wrote this song about you? Are you nuts? (laugh)"

"Baby, you are gonna miss that plane."
"I know."

Walking, talking, we all do it all our lives.

100 minutes full of dialogues will not let you feel dull at all, but also give you a lot of thoughts. Of course it's a good movie.

Before Sunrise quotes

  • Jesse: Alright, I have an admittedly insane idea, but if I don't ask you this it's just, uh, you know, it's gonna haunt me the rest of my life

    Celine: What?

Jesse: Um... I want to keep talking to you, y'know. I have no idea what your situation is, but, uh, but I feel like we have some kind of, uh, connection. Right?

    Celine: Yeah, me too.

Jesse: Yeah, right, well, great. So listen, so here's the deal. This is what we should do. You should get off the train with me here in Vienna, and come check out the capital.

    Celine: What?

Jesse: Come on. It'll be fun. Come on.

    Celine: What would we do?

Jesse: Umm, I don't know. All I know is I have to catch an Austrian Airlines flight tomorrow morning at 9:30 and I don't really have enough money for a hotel, so I was just going to walk around, and it would be a lot more fun if you came with me. And if I turn out to be some kind of psycho, you know, you just get on the next train.

Jesse: Alright, alright. Think of it like this: jump ahead, ten, twenty years, okay, and you're married. Only your marriage doesn't have that same energy that it used to have, y'know. You start to blame your husband. You start to think about all those guys you've met in your life and what might have happened if you'd picked up with one of them, right? Well, I'm one of those guys. That's me y'know, so think of this as time travel, from then, to now, to find out what you're missing out on. See, what this really could be is a gigantic favor to both you and your future husband to find out that you're not missing out on anything. I'm just as big a loser as he is, totally unmotivated, totally boring, and, uh, you made the right choice, and you're really happy.

Celine: Let me get my bag.

  • Celine: Did your parents divorce?

Jesse: Yeah. Finally. They should have done it a lot sooner, but they stuck together for a while for the "well-being of my sister and I", thank you very much.
