moving sadness

When I was in middle school, local TV stations broadcasted a lot of movies. At that time, I would watch TV every day after eating at noon. I don't know the names of many films, but I just watched them and found them very enjoyable. It was only after I went to college that I realized that I had read many classics, and "In the Name of the Father" was one of them. I vaguely remember that the film is about a young man from Northern Ireland who was imprisoned in the UK as a prisoner of a bombing case, and the father of the hero was also involved. He used his strength and belief to insist on fighting against unfair judicial investigations.
Can't remember many details. Just like a lot of other movies. All I can remember are certain scenes from the film.
I only remember one scene from this movie. It was the hero's father who finally did not persist until Chen Yuan's Xue died. In order to mourn him, the inmates threw the lit newspapers from the prison window. The little flame slowly fell, mourning a lost sturdy soul, and at the same time, a certain anger and spirit rose, as if to set the entire prison on fire. It also made people feel a deep sadness, the kind that was overwhelming. All repressed emotions erupted at this time - calm, but full of power.
At the time, I didn't understand the meaning of it. Just moved by the spirit of the father in the film. I remember that in the comments at the time, it seems that Father should mean the meaning of the Father, but in fact, the translation in the name of the Father seems to mean the Father.

In the Name of the Father quotes

  • Giuseppe Conlon: I want you have some respect.

    Gerry Conlon: Respect for who?

    Giuseppe Conlon: For yourself.

  • [Speaking to people outside the court]

Gerry Conlon: I'm an innocent man. I spent 15 years in prison for something I didn't do. I watched my father die in a British prison for something he didn't do. And this government still says he's guilty. I want to tell them that until my father is proved innocent, until all the people involved in this case are proved innocent, until the guilty ones are brought to justice, I will fight on. In the name of my father and of the truth!
