I watched this film because of the old news, and the second is to appreciate Christina Ricci's acting performance as an adult. After watching it, I found that it was a bloody fantasy thriller without much nutrition and plot. The plot was on the same level as Cage's "Witch Season". But I have to say that the special effects of 1999 are considered top-notch, and I think it is at the same level as the "The Matrix One" of the same year.

The whole film took place in New York City in 1799. Depp was sent to the Valley of the Dead to investigate three cases of deadheads (a pair of father and son and a widow). 1. Heard a legend: a Hessian mercenary was sent by the German king to keep the Americans under British rule, killing countless people, and finally beheaded by his own sword in the valley of the dead end. Recently, his grievances persisted, resulting in these three murders. 2. Five cases: Another person was killed in the forest. The victim's son Maas volunteered to join Depp. Later, the prosecutor told him that there were actually four coffins and five corpses: the widow who was killed was pregnant. 3. The headless horseman: watch the headless horseman kill the sheriff and take his head with his own eyes. Later, through the prophet, he knew that he was going to find the dead tree and found the human head in the tree. He also admitted the existence of the headless horseman from the plot. 4. Clarify the conspiracy: In fact, prominent people are fighting for property, using spells to manipulate the headless knight to kill. 5. The final incident: The headless horseman killed Katrina's father. Katrina was overwhelmed and fainted. Depp finally realized that Katrina's stepmother was the murderer, rescued Katrina, and at the last minute returned the knight's head to save him. Trivia: A very cute red crested bird appeared in it, and it became a bond between the male and female masters.

It is indeed a classic film by Tim Burton. The structure of the story itself is good, coupled with the smooth rhythm, excellent scene control, exquisite photography, shocking soundtrack, and of course an excellent interpretation of excellent actors. Watch the whole movie. It's really hearty, and I have to give it five stars! Whether it is magic or reality, in fact, the most terrifying thing is the human heart. It's another revenge movie, and revenge is a contradictory theme. Like the cold gothic style

    Horror boutique-although not really scary.

Sleepy Hollow quotes

  • The Burgomaster: Constable Crane! This is a song we have heard from you more than once. Now, there are two courses open to me. The first, is to let you cool your heels in the cells until you learn respect for the dignity of my office...

Ichabod Crane: I beg pardon. But why am I the only one who can see that to solve crimes, we must use our brains, assisted by reason, using up-to-date scientific techniques?

The Burgomaster: Which brings me to the second course. There is a town, two days journey to the north in the Hudson Highlands. It is a place called Sleepy Hollow. Have you heard of it?

    Ichabod Crane: I have not.

The Burgomaster: An isolated farming community, mainly Dutch. Three persons have been murdered there, all within a fortnight. Each one found with the head lopped off.

    Ichabod Crane: Lopped off?

The Burgomaster: Clean as dandelion heads, apparently. You will take these experimentations of yours to Sleepy Hollow, and there you will detect the murderer. Bring him here to face our good justice. Will you do this?

    Ichabod Crane: I will.

The Burgomaster: Remember, it is you, Ichabod Crane, who is now put to the test.

  • Katrina Anne Van Tassel: Will you take nothing from Sleepy Hollow that was worth the coming here?

Ichabod Crane: No. No, not nothing.

    [pauses]

Ichabod Crane: A kiss, from a lovely young woman, before she saw my face or knew my name.

Katrina Anne Van Tassel: Yes, without sense or reason.
