"gentlemen"

It's so arrogant!

Originally thought it was a gangster film that killed the whole world, but I didn't expect it to be turned into a literary film by several protagonists.

Whether it's gang boss Mike Pearson, his assistant Raimondo, or the supporting role Fletcher, the fitness trainer without a name, the acting is so good! Mike has a super temperament, and he vividly performed the style of a boss! Raimondo is resourceful, Fletcher is articulate, the coach takes responsibility...everyone is full of energy!

The plot is also very tortuous, and several lines are connected through Fletcher's dictation, which is very cleverly designed.

Gayrich's films are so entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Every time Colin Farrell and Hunam play together, it's so funny. But after careful consideration, this film is full of the superiority and xenophobia of British imperialism. Why can an American be a bigwig in the UK? Because he worked hard to integrate into the British society, blended into the aristocracy, married a British wife, and became completely "British gentry". The bad guys in the film-the Chinese gang, the Russians, and the unscrupulous American Matthew Berger, are all foreigners. They are neither British nor gentlemen, especially Dry Eye, who somehow wants to rape the heroine. He loves his wife like the heroine. The fateful gentleman is simply not human by comparison. In the film, in addition to Asians being the most hacked, the Jews also secretly lie down with guns. In the end, Micky asked Berger (Jewish surname) to cut a pound of meat. The stalk came from Shakespeare’s "The Merchant of Venice", the Jewish Sherlock wanted to cut Anthony a pound of meat. The drama portrays the Jews as a greedy and cruel stereotype, which is recognized as racially discriminatory.

The British, do they have any feelings for pigs?

The Gentlemen quotes

  • Fletcher: I think the time has come for me to introduce you to our queen. A Cockney Cleopatra to Mickey's cowboy Caesar. The only weak link, in his otherwise impregnable armor, is his devotion, his passion, some would say his obsession, with his beauteous lady wife.

  • Mickey Pearson: I like middle age. I like gentrification, private schools, fine wines, and a spoonful of caviar to help my medicine go down. But most importantly, I'm looking forward to spending more time with you.

Rosalind Pearson: Of course you are.
