I won't talk!

I haven't seen such a pleasing and ingenious movie in a long time. Perfect retro, but also great innovation. Amid the accolades, the Oscars and Golden Globes for Best Picture are well-deserved.
Pure black and white, almost silent, 1.33:1 screen ratio, 22fps frame rate, such a configuration is simply unimaginable in today's 3D high-definition. But the French, as the originator of the film, paid tribute to the silent film era of the 1920s in such a unique way. The protagonist of the film is a Hollywood silent film artist. When the film industry transitioned from silent to sound, he once refused to accept, lost himself, and gave up on himself. Fortunately, with the help and encouragement of fans, confidantes and rising stars, he finally got out of the haze. Back to the screen. The film is nostalgic but not old-fashioned. It not only recalls the charm of that "screen age", but also affirms the contribution and innovation of the continuous development of film technology. The form of art is changing and will change, but the connotation of art will not change, and the artist's pursuit of art will not change.
When showing the general trend that sound is silent, the director used interludes several times to make puns, such as "I won't talk! I won't say a word." in the opening scene when the scene forced a confession, the wife asked her husband "We have to talk. Why do you refuse to talk?", said puppy "If only he could talk." and so on. There are also two rescues of the male protagonist, one time when a puppy called for help, and one time when a car hit a wall, it was all by sound. Even better is the use of two audio scenes in this film, one in which the actor becomes mute in his dream and the surrounding voices, and the other at the end of the film with a series of voices from the crew and the actor's only line ("With pleasure"), both of which are Full of metaphors.
There are novel forms, hilarious imitations, puppy hilarity, encounter romance, and touching film rescue from fire. It's hard to imagine that a lineup of spoof 007 series (director + male and female protagonists) has produced such a masterpiece. The film made a big splash at the 84th Academy Awards, winning three awards: Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor, becoming the first French film to win this honor, and the first time it won the award after the first "Wings". Oscar silent film. Previously, the actor Jean Dujardin was also crowned the best actor at Cannes and the Golden Globe, and the heroine Bérénice Bejo (who is also the wife of director Michel Hazanavicius) was nominated for both the Oscar and the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.

I just want to ask how many people can understand with such a high score?

This is a movie in the true sense, a black-and-white silent film that seems to be an epoch-making anti-epoch. Telling a story doesn't need to be colorful, it's whether the story itself is interesting or not. The music accompanies the pictures to tell a love story, which makes people trapped and unable to extricate themselves. Love, warmth, humor, anger, all the classic elements are incorporated into it. I'm a nostalgic person to my core, but I'm sure everyone will love this movie
