After watching this movie, I always feel that Mr. Church is not an ordinary person, but Lei Feng is a god and a saint.
Taking care of strangers for three generations, mother and daughter, no complaints, selfless dedication, no selfishness, integrity and talent, genius chef, first-class pianist, wow! This is too perfect and too great.
The movie is very touching.
Compared with reality, even relatives and friends can't reach such a level of selflessness as Mr. Church.
The downside of the film is that there is too little introduction to Mr. Church's personal life, making him full of mystery.
I strongly suspect that Mr. Church is not a mortal person. Mortal people have a lot of selfishness and cannot achieve such greatness. Only the generation of Jesus can be so great!

Almost pure love. Very old school but timeless theme. Mr. Church lives up to his name, he is a recipe for redemption. A boy spent his entire youth chasing a ladybug, a harbor with a sense of belonging, occasionally losing his temper in his small world, and keeping an unspeakable secret. He obtained the happiness and serenity of being loved in love. I will not question the rationality of this story, because in the face of the unknown river of life, who doesn't want to be like Mr. Church, slowly paddling through the scenery along the way, and dividing to the open coast at sunset, harvesting warmth and satisfaction The Great Perfection? PS, Makenna Grace is really unparalleled good-looking, a beauty gifted by God.

    It's like a gospel movie.

Mr. Church quotes

  • Charlie: It's an awful feeling to love someone so much... that you absolutely hate them for leaving you. Even before they've gone.

  • [first lines]

Charlie: [narrating] Henry Joseph Church could have been anything he wanted to be. He chose to cook. The key, he said? Jazz.
