The story is set during the Cold War in the United States in 1963. It tells a strange love story between a dumb girl Alisa who works at the bottom of the laboratory and a mermaid for experimentation.
The whole movie is dressed in a soothing romance. Although Alisa is a silent cleaner, she has a regular and free life, accompanied by her neighbors and working friends. In a chance encounter, you can still fall in love with the frogman at first sight, and in the end, you can stay and fly with your lover and swim in the sea during the unpredictable journey.
In fact, the story is very simple, and there are no huge ups and downs. It can be seen as a mashup version of "Cinderella and the Beast". But he is full of sincerity, and his feelings are winning.
