The Scarlet Letter is almost a movie with the heroine alone, highlighting Mrs. Bai Lan's independent, self-contained, determined, and brave personality in the 17th century when women's status was dependent on men. Especially the local Indians, the few shots I started to give them turned out to be all, I thought that there would be more in-depth issues such as the differences in beliefs between the aborigines and the British colonies.
There is too much emphasis on the heroine, the spotlight is entirely on her, and there is no gradual change in the level before and after the display of the heroine's personality. Be brave and have your own beliefs. Until the end of the film, she bravely protected her lover, and was not afraid of others accusing her of adultery and fornication. She was also brave and firm in her belief. Even the changes before and after the male lead are much richer than the female lead.
The key to the film is to rely on the support of the characters, so even if the plot is rich, I still feel that this film is too thin.
