Watch "Eight Millimetre"

Watching "Eight mm" is a day after "This Killer Isn't Too Cold" ("Ryan the Killer", "Leon"). I was disturbed overnight by the emotions that gathered many essences and the regret of the incomplete ending, and I was in a hurry to face a completely different world. I'm not such an impatient person, but I really didn't expect "Eight" to be such a movie.

"Eight" and "Kill" are similar to me. Their plot is not very special, the story is not special, very Hollywood flavor. But its influence is unusual, and such unusualness is beyond my expectation. Maybe "Kill" is because of that unique French charm, then "Eight" is because of what?

"Eight" and "Kill" are completely two worlds in terms of content. It is precisely because the contrast between the two worlds is so great that I feel so deeply about one of the plots of "Eight", no, it should be said that it is a scene: Tom Wells (the male protagonist) after a traumatic experience. ) When he returned home, he saw his daughter, whom he loved so much. The baby's eyes were full of innocence. He couldn't control it any longer and fell to the ground crying. He crawled to the side of the bed while crying and fell into his wife's arms. He kept repeating: "Help me!", feeling weak all over.

"You can't change the devil, but the devil can change you." Poor Wells, while constantly marveling at what happened to the people around him, was horrified to find himself slowly sliding down the abyss. As he longed for the thrill of sliding to hell, he screamed, "What's wrong with me?" In such a situation, what else could he do but call for help?

What's wrong with people? What is wrong with me? help me!

People slowly push themselves towards destruction while ruling the world. Because domination is the gratification of desires, and domination itself is to satisfy more desires, and for this we have spared no expense. And when old desires are satisfied, new desires are produced, and people are even more unscrupulous. This is doomed.

Perhaps it is a biological instinct to satisfy desires. The question is how do we know and how do we save ourselves?

Wells is in a dangerous situation. He already feels that he is being changed by the devil, and I think all he can do but ask for help is to save himself. He couldn't expect anyone to save him, because in such a world everyone was on the brink of danger and all they could do was save themselves.

How to save yourself?

Wells killed someone he thought he deserved in a brutal way he never could bear before, and he asked permission to do so. And what worries me is that all he did was to kill, just to show evidence that he was changed by the devil. Wells found a high-sounding reason for this, no, an excuse.

The world is becoming more and more civilized. More and more people are skeptical of this statement, as more and more terrifying things that are essentially uncivilized are happening on Earth dominated by humans. Is the world really becoming more civilized? No, it's just that the means by which humans transform the world are becoming more and more civilized. Peeling aside this layer of clothing, it was full of primitive barbarism.

And after pulling away the gorgeous coat to see the true face of the ugly, how can I save myself?

Some people choose to sink, others choose to betray, and some people choose to end... They think this is self-help.

Thankfully Wells is not one of them. Maybe it was the innocent baby and the gentle wife who lighted the lamp and gave him hope, maybe it was the last warm letter that comforted him. He chose to smile. Laugh at life.

Believe that a calm smile can make everything better, no matter how bad it is temporarily.

Okay, technically, that torture video is too fake, the black man's first punch is an empty punch... This is really unsatisfactory, everything else is ok, after all, Schumacher is a veteran. In terms of point of view, it is relatively naive. Of course, I admit that I was a little indignant when I first watched a tyrannical pornographic film.

A scholar said that he killed people because he likes to see the expression of the other person when a knife is pierced into the body. Most people also love to see the expression of climax. The director who insisted on shooting said that he was not artistic enough to die. . . Are we trying to see those extraordinary evils? Or do you love to see such a sin and the glory of humanity? Or is it just for the truth? The reasons for watching are different, but they are all due to human nature.
