Previous understanding: Moral and civilized constraints are the rules of the game after people have had enough to eat, and they were overturned after watching this film. It should be said that moral and civilized constraints are the rules of the game that make it seem like it's just enough to eat when how much of the meal is unknown. When food appears to be lacking or plentiful, morality and civilization are easily wiped out.
There is also a testimonial: Children are not a panacea used to insinuate the adult world. Sometimes children can only represent children.

Lord of the Flies quotes

  • Piggy: We might have to live here for a long time! Maybe the rest of our lives! If we are stuck here until we get old, then we can't go on acting like kids! We've gotta be sensible and make things work!

    Ralph: [looking up] No!

[a rock is pushed off the cliff above, killing Piggy]

Ralph: You're not gonna get away with this.

Jack Merridew: Yeah? And what are you gonna do, huh? What are you gonna do about it? You're out of it pal, you're on your own.

  • Piggy: What good is that gonna do? They can't cook pigs without a fire. They'll get trichinosis.
