Naissance des pieuvres, the original meaning is the birth of the octopus. (I vaguely remember) Mr. Xi mentioned in the interview that the eight tentacles of the octopus have symbolic meanings of desire and jealousy, which probably also corresponds to the awakening, haziness and self-pulling of adolescence. The Taiwan version is translated as "Fall in Love with a Bad Girl", and the plot is summarized as Marie falling in love with Floriane.
Floriane is not a bad girl, in a way admirable and distressed. She is beautiful and is the object of stares everywhere. The male gaze brought her only misfortune, pain and confusion. Harassment by the coach, sarcasm and isolation from teammates, betrayal by her boyfriend, but she still smiled and said "this is life".

The clues to growth are quite subtle, everything goes softly, there is no clear dramatic conflict, and the delicate daily life is like a slow wave of water. Maybe it can't be defined as a lesbian movie. Debating whether Floriane loves Marie will only make the theme vulgar and superficial.
The daffodils bloom, the self-obsessed and immature love of teenagers, but miraculously have something profound and moving because of their interaction.
