Neither you nor me are qualified to judge

She's undeniably guilty, but this is definitely a tragedy.

I went to watch this film because I watched the interview and documentary of the prototype of the film.
On the whole, 80% of the content of the film basically restores the real experience of Aileen Wuornos.

The day before Aileen Wuornos was executed, she told her best friend who came to visit her to give all her personal letters to the film’s director Patty Jenkins

"Hookers end up deadly on the side of the highway all the time , And weirdly she went on to do these awful things becoz she was so hopeful that she could turn it around somehow ,by taking control of the situation u know, and in a strange way that hope kinda showed in the end ,she didn't know who i was ,she just hoped ,maybe i would do the right thing ... ”

----Patty Jenkins

It must be said that Charlize Theron’s acting skills in this film are indeed three-pointers, whether it’s modeling, speaking, expression, or even posture, so that in certain stages I even thought she had become Aileen Wuornos, she I didn’t deliberately exaggerate the heroine’s social resentment and dissatisfaction, because the reference prototype Aileen himself has a very manic manifestation. The conversation is very emotional like the movie lines, and she likes to be long. Time's speech without gaps seems to be filling the silence and blankness in the environment, and her anger also seems to be a means of disguising fragility. Others will think she is crazy, but in fact, her complicated and pathological life experience hidden behind this is the cause of her unimaginable anger and resistance to society.

So on the contrary, Theron did not blindly portray her as an antisocial lunatic in the eyes of outsiders, but rather interprets some delicate, struggling living conditions of the characters at the bottom of the society. The level of killings in several different situations evolved from the first self defense to self defense after being beaten and molested by a perverted client (I believe that many people in this scene felt very happy after she successfully resisted).

Later on, she felt that she could be used as a source of income, but she didn't think she had done anything wrong. Because if the first killing was driven by urgency, she felt that the subsequent series of killings were no different from the previous ones. She had been fed up with the mentality of these men using her as a tool for venting,
and in the end , she would be kind of old. The moment the man was killed, she realized that she was a murderer, and the collapse of her conscience was a very profound and wonderful performance)

Aileen's life was not her choice, just as her childhood was not his choice. And her life has been very lonely and miserable. No one has ever cherished her. The last straw to support her spirit is the somewhat selfish Selby. Maybe you will say that she is not strong enough and did not grow up in adversity, but rather easily. Fall into the dust, but to a certain extent, you and I are not qualified to judge, because we will never know how to live under this kind of life experience. If this happens to you and me, how many people can bear it? Spiritual and physical torture, and strong to live a normal life? Maybe someone can, but someone may start to doubt the value of their existence, especially when you realize that all those who love you have already left (Aileen's parents and brother died in her early 20s) and you are alone in this reality What is the meaning of living hypocritically in the world, she protected Selby at the last moment (the prototype also spent 3 hours in prison doing confession in reality, confessing all charges, and insisting that other people did not know to protect her girlfriend)

It's like "All she need is love" in the movie.

When everything was unable to look back, she chose to raise her pistol, and it was not a certain person who shot the bullet, but the world.
