Police found a notebook in Gale's room that recorded the production steps and reaction equations of blue methamphetamine. They also found a flyer for Gus's fried chicken shop, as well as Gus's fingerprints. After Hank saw the evidence, he began to suspect that Gus might be a big drug lord, and secretly investigated him. Hank has investigated the distribution bases and laundry rooms of 14 fried chicken restaurants in Gus.

People from the cartel interfered with Gus's business, wanting half of Gus's business and White's drug formula. Gus pretended to agree, and took Jesse to the cartel group, gave the group boss a bottle of poisonous sapphire wine, and killed the group boss Arandio and his little leaders. Jesse made 96.2% blue meth, and Gus put Jesse in the position of chief drug maker, then fired White.

Gus is about to kill the White family. White hurriedly packed up and prepared to disappear with his family. But his wife Skyler gave Taylor the money, and the escape plan fell through. White asked Sol to call the DEA and tell them that the cartel was going to kill Hank. So the Drug Enforcement Administration sent many agents to guard around Hank's house to ensure Hank's safety. White sent the family to take refuge at Hank's house.

Saul told White that Gus often went to nursing homes. Hector Salamanga in it once killed Max, a biochemist financed by Gus. Gus held a grudge because of this, and often went to the nursing home to ridicule him. White went to the nursing home to find Hector and wanted to work with him to get rid of Gus, and Hector agreed. So White installed his own bomb under Hector's wheelchair. When Gus came to see Hector, Hector detonated the bomb and died with Gus. White then went to the lab to save Jesse and destroyed the lab with him.
