There is no fault under the sun

This is not an interesting movie. Even though I was almost intently in 100 minutes, I didn't want to shut down.
It doesn't have a novel theme, but it makes a stand alone in the dialogue. Even what makes people concerned is not who is persuaded first, but just enjoying the unique explosive power of the actor.
From the beginning to the end, the little black boy who has not many lines has his own expression, and his touching mother has also become a highlight.
The above may be the reason why I appreciate this film, but it is not the whole story.

The old nun believed in "There is nothing new under the sun." This sentence caused her to conflict with the priest for the first time.
The priest loves innovation and will eventually overthrow the old nun thinking. A gust of wind disturbed the old nun's appearance of maintaining calm, but eventually took the priest away.
It seemed that the old nun was more stubborn than the priest, and was so stubborn that she could only accommodate one ending and could not let go. A suspicion must end with affirming the suspicion. Otherwise he won't go, she has to go.
The two conversations between the priest and the old nun in the principal’s office proceeded step by step. Whoever gets angry first seems to prove who is guilty first, but the positions of the suspect and the doubter are not equal.
The old nun knew she didn't have any real evidence, but she insisted on a skeptical attitude. This attitude is only necessary for her to win.
As she explained, if the other party doesn't have a ghost in her heart, why not care about her aggressiveness. And since the other party gave in, it must be because he had a ghost in his heart.
This is almost a difficult equation to answer.
If the priest is always a perceptual and benevolent face, the priest's concession seems easy to explain. He protects the little black boy. In other words, he saved the good side that he had left to everyone in the church.
If the old nun had always been cold and harsh, her final weeping would be easy to explain. She achieved her goal, she lost the doubt she had insisted on, and doubted herself.

Not long ago, my dad asked me at the dinner table if you could not tolerate a single mistake from others. Because at this time a certain evening party is being broadcast on TV, and the host is the one who made a slip of the tongue at the evening party not long ago. And I have a slight remark on it.
I answer, yes. If a person has ever stolen something, I don’t believe he will never steal something again. In the same way, if a person has had a side that has made me poor, I don’t believe that he will never show that side again.
My dad sighed. Just like the sigh of the little nun in the film. Or the look in the eyes of a priest who has been tortured but has to bow his head.
Although the paranoid Doubt in the film puts the prospect of reality into reality, it is a bit exaggerated. But it is not non-existent. At least I have sometimes wronged others because of my paranoid first impression theory. I also thought of a certain scene before I fell asleep, with a trace of regret.

Doubt's ending seems to be a broken ending. No one seems to be complete.
However, it may be considered complete. The priest is promoted, and the little black boy will stay until June to go to high school. The little nun still maintains her kindness. Although the old nun will not change much, she will eventually get old. I will not forget that when facing that old and blind old nun, she also had sympathy.
This is what I read, Doubt.

About the interaction between the priest and the black boy. About him or whether they are GAY. The film does not emphasize, and I don't want to know.
It did not deliberately appear bright, but under the sun, everything naturally became clear.

Adapted from a stage play, it is full of a lot of indoor scenes and tit-for-tat lines. The actors are very entertaining, but I hope there is a little more space for other parts. The story is small but the script is good. Although I have seen the trailer, the climax scene is still very impactful. The director wanted to make the point of the story ambiguous, but this ambiguity was narrated in a very clear way.

  • Sister Aloysius Beauvier: James Hurley, what are you doing out of class?

Jimmy Hurley: Sister James sent me down.

    Sister Aloysius Beauvier: For what?

    Jimmy Hurley: Talking.

Sister Aloysius Beauvier: Well, go back up and SHUT UP!
