This is the first time I see a gangster movie made like this. It's much better than those cookie-cutter plots and boring fights in Hong Kong and Taiwan... It's all gray-tone descriptions from beginning to end, and the protagonist doesn't say anything at all. A few words, I didn't understand a bit in the middle, and I really don't know what he was thinking, but it gradually became clear at the end, he seemed to only regard Danny and Kato as brothers, because he knew that Danny also regarded him as a brother , It was seen from the accidental shot. So in the end he gave the mafia the illusion and let Danny fly away, maybe he stayed for Danny, maybe for the gang of men he died .The part about Kato committing suicide is very cool, and now there are probably no more people like this... After reading it, there are many aftertastes, and there must be many things in it that I didn't realize...

One of Kitano Takeshi's gangster masterpieces, some violent scenes are too direct and it is a failure. On the whole, it is a movie with an emotional void, which is very freehand.
