A person who knows what he needs in his heart and dares to pursue it regardless of everything is strong and happy! It is rare to find such a person who has given up everything he has become accustomed to for love. The ecstasy of the ecstatic soul pales in the face of great material interests. But power and money can't solve the confusion of life, but love comforts the soul! I envy the scene where the two embrace each other and write a book. The most beautiful view! It's heart-wrenching to see a terribly brilliant emotion come to an abrupt halt, but maybe it's a good thing. How much love can stand Homecoming! Love is breadth and depth, just like life, living well and living long are two different things. Really live vigorously and love life in vain.

Ryan O'Neal was chosen by me as the starring role of "Barry Linden" because of the box office hit. It's not very comfortable to switch scenes every time before the emotions are mobilized. The director has no control over emotions, and is too flat and straightforward, like a TV series. It was given 4 stars for the brilliant lines and unobtrusive ending. The biggest gain from watching the film is seeing Tommy Lee Jones when he was young.
