I want to see the original

Fortunately, I haven't read the original book,
otherwise I must think it's not good~
Because I always feel that changing the novel into a movie is not what I want~
and after watching the novel after watching the movie, it should have a more fulfilling feeling.

What impressed me the most was that the
male protagonist killed a sheep with a knife, the
male protagonist strangled a rabbit, and the
male protagonist hung the dog from the door, the dog should die soon.
The children also hang the dog from the tree, and the dog should die soon.

The male protagonist kisses the dead female protagonist,
because he loves the female protagonist very much, but he
is reluctant to let the female protagonist die.
The male protagonist hit the wall by himself, and the wound on his forehead must not have the heartache of the male protagonist losing the female protagonist, right?

My question
, who is the coffin dug by the male protagonist?

Adaptation is possible, but it cannot be changed beyond recognition. This is completely re-creation. And Heathcliff, set by the black male protagonist, holds the camera, the camera is shaking, and the story is boring. When I read it, I kept yelling Oh my lady gaga, What the f...., You must be kidding me ...If you haven't read the original, you can read it, at least you won't be surprised.

None of the previous versions have portrayed the wind in the wilderness into such a full character like Andrea Arnold. The restlessness, depression, and rough love it represents make this movie extraordinary. Years later, when Heathcliff and Catherine reunited under the apple tree, the fleeting touch of the corner of Catherine's mouth was enough to crush you.
