Wonderful

Such an early film, the plot is tight. It's not as bloody as a modern American horror movie, but it works.
The mortician's make-up part is quite wonderful, first dissect and then make up, layer by layer is very fine. The scene that made me want to go to the Wax Museum of Horror and make a wax figure.
I guessed when I saw the police found the videotape. But since the police also need repairs, how can they not remember. Is it repaired and formatted memory by the way? That dare to be good, it has become a reincarnation. The police are sad, constantly forgetting themselves, and constantly finding the truth.
When it finally came out, I thought it would be a zombie type, but it turned out to be a porcelain doll type. Just shattered a little.

3.5 stars, although I guessed the ending, I still have to add half a star, it seems that Shyamalan and the like are really unbearable. . . In terms of art direction, there is a classical beauty, and the creation of anxiety and helplessness makes the viewing process always depressed. . . PS to see that the people behind the scenes of this film are all big names, screenwriter Dan O'Bannon, special effects artist Stan Winston. . .

Dead & Buried quotes

  • Harry: I was just telling these guys about that accident last night. Find out who that guy was?

Dan Gillis: Not a thing. No ID. No license plates. No nothing.

Ernie: Dan, old buddy, with that fancy salary the city of Potters Bluff pays you, and the amount of money the state spends getting you educated, you ought to be able to find some clues.

Herman: If you can't solve a traffic accident, what are you gonna do if a crime happens?

Harry: Now boys, don't be riding Danny too hard. He's out to lead this town. We're lucky to have him. A Masters Degree in Criminology. Big cities fighting over him, and he comes back to his old home town to help us poor folks out.
