Compared with its Chinese translation, "towards the dawn", I think it is more suitable to be called "walking through the darkness". Maybe "Towards the Dawn" is to show that this group of fledgling officials and second-generation low-ranking soldiers started their own interstellar war, but at the end of the film, only three of these children survived. So the dead are gone, and the living just continue their torment of war.
As an interstellar movie that turned out a bit, I prefer to believe that it is a trailer or a prequel of a game, and at the end of it, there is a little bit of the feeling of a good young man turning into an iron-masked man. The first half of the film focuses on the unsatisfactory campus life of the male protagonist, which is more similar to a youth film. After almost an hour passed, suddenly the civil war of the earthlings turned into an alien invasion of the earth. It turned out that the arrogant teachers were killed in an instant, and the earthlings were basically wiped out. I can only sigh that the ups and downs of life are really exciting!
In fact, this film is a typical rookie growth history. There are sacrificed companions (although a lot of them died), idol-level masters (although they are more handsome), and there are endless leveling monsters (although sometimes strong and sometimes strong) weak). As an interstellar movie that has been a little tired of aesthetics in recent years, this film has found a relatively fresh perspective, and some editing rhythms and techniques are also commendable, especially the use of some slow motion, which is very blockbuster. However, the shallowness of the overall story is still an irreparable flaw in the whole film, which also makes this film only free from classic or commercial blockbusters and becomes a cloud in the interstellar movie.
However, if this is one of the episodes of an American drama, it is worth looking forward to.
