Clear the fog of movies..

This movie will keep you watching, but after watching it, there is a feeling of depression that creeps into every nerve... You don't know where to start, but you find the whole movie fascinating.
The film starts with a slow narrative at the beginning, starts from Morgan leaving avalon, flashes back to the source of the story, and then slowly describes the whole story. The film lasts for more than 3 hours before all the plots are finished. Although the story is based on King Arthur, the main line of the movie revolves around several female characters closely related to Avalon, and finally ends with Avalon, the holy place, gradually disappearing into the mist under the loss of people's beliefs.
As far as I personally feel, when I haven't seen the movie, I actually don't know much about the story of King Arthur, so I didn't understand the meaning of the movie very well at first. But as the film unfolded, vivid images gradually appeared in front of us. There were dramas in which we would spare no expense for our lifelong mission, and dramas in which we would rather sacrifice ourselves for love. Although I think the relationship between the protagonists in the story is a bit overly complicated and a little confusing, the whole movie is quite remarkable. After all, the soundtrack in the movie is one of the things that attracts me. The melodious music and the plot of the movie have a fascinating feeling.
Overall, I think it's a movie worth watching, people always say that art comes from life but is higher than life, and the same is true for movies. Whether you know or don't know this real history...it's a good reference.

Three and a half. Morgaine's character is quite lovable, but the movie in general...it's beautiful and magical and bloody and embarrassing, especially the second half...don't know how the original is. In short, after watching this movie, my newly ignited interest in the legend of King Arthur has basically been extinguished by half...

Misty lake, female wasteland. The rhythm of the latter part is accelerated, the character creation is not meticulous, and both the introduction and the first part have good-looking elements. Religion and the patriarchal court were in a dilemma, and the goddess was first pushed forward by the tide, and then abandoned. Morgan, Gwen, and even Morgoth are all the same. Women who should breathe the same way are provoked and mocked. Not accepting the fate of matriarchy, and once entrusting power to itself, was given a bad name. Joan Allen is the best performer, unlike Mrs. Vivienne's arrogance to preserve "divineness", or Morgan's sincerity and fear, her cruelty is always decisive

The Mists of Avalon quotes

  • Gwenhwyfar: I took poison from a witch. I slept with you and your friend, and gave myself to your lust and ungodliness, and all for nothing! All for nothing! No baby, no baby. Where is my baby, Arthur?

Arthur: It is God's hands now, not ours. Don't cry.

Gwenhwyfar: God does not reward sinners.

  • Gwenhwyfar: You say you are a good man, but you condemn your wife to barrenness for the sake of an oath to painted savages. I despise you, Arthur Pendragon! Neither good Christian, nor good pagan, nor a good husband to me.
