In the very early VCD era, I watched the Mandarin-dubbed "Maze of Evil", starring Sharon Stone and Isabella Agani, and Kathy Bates as the detective. At the time, I thought it was very beautiful, but the horror effect was a little worse, and the eroticism was a little bit more, especially when there was a naked picture of Agani at the beginning, which was really suspected of selling dog meat. And the ending wasn't satisfying enough, and the suggestion that the two women were gay was a little unrealistic.
Later in the DVD era, I watched the CC version of "Bathroom Love Murder" and realized that the original version was much better than the Hollywood version.     The model of saving a play at the end of a great ending is a favorite of many directors, from Hitchcock and Billy Wilder to later Nate Shyamalan and Amamba.
