Today I went to a very far place to watch "Pixel Wars". There are also "Hong Kong 囧" and "Terminator: Genesis". I made a decision the day before and chose "Pixel Wars" without hesitation ( pixels). There is a reason for this. I saw its trailer a long time ago and was impressed. It is a blessing to be able to release it on the mainland. If I can only choose one movie to be made into 3D effect, I will choose "Pixel Wars", every cube falls in front of the screen, there is always a feeling of fun.
A poor and happy electrical repairman saved the United States and the world because he was good at classic video games in the 1980s, the kind of "big game" games that can only be played in arcades with friends. This is a simple story. In fact, there was a short video of the same name circulating on the Internet many years ago, and this film was also adapted from that short short. Even so, it's wonderful, useful, and good-looking because it's fun. The director is the producer of the "Night at the Museum" series of films, and he can tell a simple story interesting, such a thing is not so easy to achieve. Change to an unsuitable candidate, and it is very likely that the story will be wasted.
Some movies are not because the subject matter is not good, the story is not popular, and the actors are not flattering. Part of it is this problem - the highlight part is too short. The climax is expected, but there is always a disappointing sense of regret if it is too short. This kind of expectation is also just out of nature, hoping that the happy time can be longer. There is another part of this problem - the wonderful part, commonly known as the meat part, is not clearly expressed, the audience does not know how it came from, and what are the steps of the interpretation. In "Pixel War", it can be clearly seen how many games have been fought against the alien challenge, how each game was lost, and how each game was won, all at a glance. Losing is clear, winning is meticulous, the pixel group opened with every shot, the yellow Pac-Man hit every time, and the gorilla broken with the last hammer.
As for the fun part, I thought of the "game theory" mentioned in the origin of art. Games can be hugely productive, something I've overlooked before. However, with the prosperity of popular culture and the impact of the Internet age, the power of games cannot be underestimated. What is the essence of game power, fun is probably the core. Challenge the computer system, challenge the opponent players, challenge yourself, and get great satisfaction in the competition. This kind of satisfaction is real, and this real satisfaction comes from virtual worlds. Made of electronic components, made of pixels, connected by integrated plates... And in the real world, real satisfaction and superiority are not so easy to create.
You can think of Pixel Wars as a sci-fi movie, an inspirational movie, a comedy movie, an action movie, a funny movie. Whether the president of the United States has higher public support, whether aliens will rule mankind, these are not the issues that this film cares about, because it is not our concern either. Since its inception, the film has not concurrently performed the responsibilities and missions of educating the crowd, purifying the soul, and enlightening the heavens. What has depth is never the film itself, but the idea. Whether or not "The Unbearable Lightness of Life" is adapted into "Prague Love", it always maintains its depth. From "Pixel Wars", we can learn that as long as a person in an ordinary position has talents that are different from ordinary people, he can take on the important task of saving the world; once you looked down on your opposite sex, as long as you are recognized by the public one day, she will (He) will look at you highly; the consequence of not studying seriously is that when you grow up, you will be ruled by playmates who are not as good as you when you were young; playing games can not only waste your studies, but also save the earth and so on. Like this, a million people watching a movie can understand 10 million truths. But the main function of the movie is not to make sense. Before these truths, first of all, it's interesting.
