Compared with the classic version of Shanghai translation 20 years ago, Reivew on Jane Eyre

The little-known 96 version of Jane Eyre is comparable to the classic version translated from Shanghai 20 years ago. The casting and the soundtrack are impeccable (been fascinated by the 96 soundtrack), and the flaws are also in the film length limit, which is too hasty. Compared with the 70 version, the screenwriter of 96 completed the plot, but simplified the dialogue. Unfortunately, this work cannot be simplified, so the most popular is probably the TV series, but unfortunately the casting of the TV series is always inappropriate.

In addition to the 20-year late filming of the 96 edition, more countries participated in the filming. It feels more modern in every way, but unfortunately it lacks some classic temperament. The director chose Charlotte Gainsbourg, who was only 20 years old at the time.
