I saw her laid out like a queen

Lisa Minnelli's provocative big watery eyes, those long eyelashes, those delicate little noses, tsk tsk! Sally finally realizes that she can't go to a poor life with Brian if that's not what she wants. All she wanted was in the final "Cabaret" she sang, to die from an overdose of drugs and alcohol like Elsie did, and she looked at Elsie's body like a queen he envied. Finally, I said goodbye to Brian at the train station, and just shook hands politely, thinking of how crazy we were together in the past, which was embarrassing. Sally shouldn't belong to anyone, she's a sexy and naughty elf, she loved you, that's enough.

I came in without reading the introduction and I was completely unprepared to watch a romantic film. The level of the director is quite first-class, especially when dealing with literary dramas. The body language at times, the hesitant words when sad, the whole film is fascinating, but it's just not so singing and dancing.

Gorgeous depravity, apocalyptic carnival! On the eve of the Nazi takeover of Berlin, the current drunkenness of indulging in joyful singing and pleasure to death seems to be flowing with sadness, rehearsing the dark night march under the psychedelic hazy love and lingering underwater, and saying goodbye to the illusion of freedom by prolonging the moment with addiction. The original repertoire has been weakened and integrated into the background of audio and video. The performance on stage is separated from the narration off stage, but it acts as a screen and curtain for the turbulent times. Parallel editing and lyric insinuation form an intertextuality. Gwen Verdon's New York-bought orangutan costume slams a blazing accusation for the fact that he can't break through the barriers of identity and fall in love. Why can't life be a dance hall with feasts and luxuries? The happiest corpse is better than a numb walking corpse. Sally, who is addicted to all kinds of desires, interprets femme fatale, but she is innocent like a child. The audience's picture book with its distorted reflections in full bloom uneasily revolves, the camera moves alertly and looks forward to it, and the armband in the freeze frame is the guillotine of Shengpingshi, "I hope Kaiser will come back".
