Two lines: First, the life of Ruben Carter; second, the actions of Lazar Martin. In the first half, the two lines are described in a relatively divided manner, that is, through Lazard reading Ruben's autobiography to review Ruben's life; the second half is to entangle the two lines through writing letters and visiting prisons, that is, Lazard helps Ruben to win the lawsuit. "Then go beyond the law and return to the nature of man." "Hate puts me in jail, and love will make me see the sun again." It is the same type as "The Shawshank's Redemption", and I personally think that it is better than "in terms of rhythm, technique, narrative, and connotation". "Shaw" is much stronger.
