The 74th edition is also my favorite. I don't know how many times I've watched it. As many people said, it was a film with a relatively relaxed tone. Something feels wrong. After watching the ending of this time, I finally figured out the reason why I didn't like AC's work, because criminals killed our relatives, should we use more cruel ways to take revenge? If this is a martial arts novel, I can understand such logic, but as a mystery novel, I personally think it is a bit inconsistent. As said in the film, "The legal system must be above everything else. Once the legal belief collapses, the civilized society will have no place to live." This is not only the belief of Polo, but also the foundation of Western society.
This film needs to think about, the inner struggle of the murderers, Polo's sadness and concessions, too many things are included in the ending, the film is too short, many familiar details are not reflected, but at least this is the case A good ending can be drawn.
Some people say they don't like David, but I have to say that David is the actor who fits the image of Poirot in my heart. Time makes him old, but such a David brings another feeling to Poirot.
