120min

Beginning water

3min ring the bell, location school

5 The two heroines appeared on the stage and explained the core relationship between the two

7 The male lead comes on stage, explaining the twisted relationship between the three (the biggest highlight of the show)

9 Use a small thing (different punishing attitudes towards young boys) to show the differences in the personality of the male and female protagonists (the male protagonist is harsh and indifferent, and the female protagonist is kind in nature)

10 [Trigger] The two heroines began to discuss the main events of the story: killing the husband (to piece together the information in bits and pieces, rather than telling it straight), the second heroine promoted, and the heroine resisted

—————— Development

11 Continue to show the male protagonist's bad personality (no care for the female protagonist, strong control)

14 Show the heroine’s weak position and her grievances (the school is her property but cannot be the master), so that the audience empathizes with the heroine, and the second woman has been helping to comfort the heroine in these processes

17 Suspense begins: the hostess quietly packs things up, and goes to find the second woman, a huge box (purpose?)

18 Action begins: the two female protagonists go out together and the male protagonist does not know (the male protagonist starts to lose control)

20 The female protagonist uttered the word "murder", and the second female protagonist said, "The female protagonist has a heart attack. The male protagonist once said that the female protagonist will share the school with the female after her death."

——————

23 The action begins, and in the process, further small things are used to show the character differences between the two heroines

32 The male protagonist arrives and has a low conflict with the female protagonist (at this time the male protagonist still wants to stay), the female protagonist swings several times

42 The core action begins, add water to the bathtub

45 Murder completed (the main action is carried out by the second female)

49 Follow-up finishing (handling of dead bodies)

———————— 66 (Middle)【The big turning point】The corpse is gone—the story enters the second stage———————

70 The abnormality gradually unfolds (all signs of the return of the dead male protagonist)

76 The Confession

82 Intervention of the third person (retired police)-increased danger (conflict tension)

———————— Climax

92 The abnormality continues, and the heroine begins to waver (the villain's action is effective, the paving is enough)

110 Final Orgasm

114 The heroine dies (the villain succeeds in action)

The police appeared and ended

It turns out that Hitchcock also learned from others. The suspenseful effects and audiovisual language are really good, but this ending got me. . While shocked, I couldn't believe it at the same time, because the mistress was such a strong woman, how could she do such a thing for a straight man with cancer? It’s totally unreasonable (although I actually guessed it in the middle, but I can’t believe it’s true (sorry for spoilers)

Although I had already guessed the result when it was two-thirds of the way through the performance, it was still very NB that such a classic film was shot in 1955.

Diabolique quotes

  • Plantiveau, le concierge: Watch out, ma'am. That's the deep part where you are.

Christina Delassalle: There is no danger. I can swim.

Plantiveau, le concierge: That don't mean a thing. It's always the ones who know how that get drowned. The ones who can't, don't go near the pool.

  • [first lines]

    Plantiveau, le concierge: Headmaster!

    Michel Delassalle: Yes.

Plantiveau, le concierge: Isn't it time I rang the bell?

Michel Delassalle: It's okay. I'll unload the car myself.
