It feels a lot like Cloverfield, but more exhausted. It’s a dictionary-style interpretation of the word alien, which clearly writes aliens and secretly writes foreign population/refugees/second-class citizens. The bloody scene was disgusting enough, the gap between alien appearance and abilities was ironic enough, and human self-righteousness and exploitation were deep enough. In the end, I was surprised that even the relationship between husband and wife, friendship, and father-son relationship were deeply described.
