It's really not my thing to deal with this plot, except for any

Did director Dennis have the qualifications to get the script adaptation rights?

Spoilers first, then rants

In the end, the man underground must have been lost.

The reason is very simple, lack of oxygen, the only consolation is that there is floor heating to escort the last journey

Worst of all, dying with hope (or faith)

so, the big boss is a target failure inside and out

Perhaps this is the only one that fits my basic preference for director generalizations

The following is a rant

This play seems to want to take a realistic route, but unfortunately the technique lacks a little flavor. It's too few. It's like Manchester by the sea. It's bitter to the extreme, or it's like three billboards. lingering, the latter is too sad to be unreal) or like the zodiac, give me a tense orgasm and an empowering ending

It's a pity that this film is the first 10 minutes, and it's really lacking in the back. At the same time, the opening ending was handled perfectly in 2049.

(I like the front that makes people addicted and suspicious, but I already knew what to sell when I saw half of it, but the pace was slow in the back, and the detective didn't shine from beginning to end)

A very hard-working police detective is more like taking a chance. He is like a metaphor. For example, 80% of ordinary life is not that easy. What he lacks is faith. He is very involved in handling cases. Tools and rationality, let the intuition point slip away from the front again and again, maybe this is one of the cores of this film, it's too hidden

Feel like there are other cores? Otherwise, why do you feel that a few pieces are clearly converging first and last but not forming an ensemble? What does the director want to express? This is why I want to give 4 stars and finally deduct 1 star.

So, it seems that all the ingredients are in place, the story itself is actually very good, but the charm seems to be limited by the script framework, or is it just that the director has not fully found the spark of creation? After all, the behind-the-scenes story has not surfaced.

Prisoners quotes

  • Keller Dover: He stays in custody till my daughter is found, right? Right?

Detective Loki: We have a 48-hour hold on him. It ends tomorrow unless we bring charges.

Keller Dover: Well, then charge him with something... Charge him!

    Detective Loki: Mr. Dover...

Keller Dover: [Interrupts] Detective, Detective. Two little girls have *gotta* be worth whatever little rule you gotta break to keep that asshole in custody. Now, I know you can't promise me anything, I understand that. But I'm asking you, be sure. Be 100% sure...

    [Loki nods]

Keller Dover: Thank you... I appreciate it.

  • Keller Dover: Why aren't you sending someone out to go arrest this guy?

Captain Richard O'Malley: Tell Detective Loki what you just told me, and he'll definitely look into it. Go ahead.

Keller Dover: [sighs and turns to Loki] That asshole you promised me you'd keep in custody... Right? And you didn't... And right now, when I grabbed him in the parking lot, he said right to my fucking face, "They didn't cry until I left them." Right to my fucking face!

Detective Loki: He said that to you in the parking lot just now?

Keller Dover: Right now! Yeah! What did I just say? In the parking lot! Before you grabbed me off him.

Detective Loki: Did anyone else hear him besides you?

Keller Dover: I don't know... He was quiet. He-he said it to me. He wanted me to know.

Detective Loki: Are you sure he said that?

    Keller Dover: What?

Detective Loki: Are you sure that's what he said?

Keller Dover: Jesus Christ, you think I'm making this up?

Detective Loki: No, I don't think that, I just...

Keller Dover: Why would I make this up? No, no think about! Why would I make this up?

Detective Loki: I'm not saying that to you. I'm just asking you a couple questions. I will talk to him, okay?

Keller Dover: No, don't talk to him! Arrest him!

    [Storms out]

Detective Loki: [Turns to Captain O'Malley] What'd I fucking tell you? What'd I tell you? One more day.
