Only after watching "Casablanca" will you understand how superficial the current World War II movies are.
Rick (Humphrey Bogart) had two passes to ensure that he and his lover Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) escaped Casablanca safely, perhaps to resist the cause, more likely because the real In love, Rick gave the pass to Ilsa and her husband Victor, a resistance leader, while he watched the woman leave. Although this film completely follows Hollywood rules and lacks amazing innovations in its shooting methods, the classic is that it is different from most happy endings. Two people who love each other may never see each other again. The script can completely keep the two together. But the different endings made Rick's image even taller.
It is also well-deserved to be selected for the 100 Best Films, the 100 Greatest Films in Film History and other awards.
