I heard before that it seems to be Stallone's first film. After being rejected countless times, it was made after many ups and downs.
To be honest, the dialogues of the characters in the movie are very bad. The front makes people drowsy, and what is constantly being staged is the frustration and self-abandonment of the people at the bottom of the United States. Rocky also looked extremely embarrassed about his girlfriend. But there is an impressive warmth in the film. Rocky and his friends always quarreled suddenly, but made up quickly. While it feels like the people in the movie are all rough, the connection between people is wonderfully articulated in their conversations. Rocky and friends, coaches, and girlfriends are reluctant to leave each other, although they always quarrel.
The portrayal of the people at the bottom of the United States in the film, alcoholism, irritability, decadence, always made me realize what a happy country I live in. And Rocky's unremitting efforts made me realize how worthless many of my self-imposed efforts were.
The recurring question in the movie, why did Rocky want to fight boxing? What keeps Rocky from being knocked down? Rocky told his girlfriend that he was stupid. This "stupid" energy has always reminded me of Forrest Gump, the "fool" who kept running regardless of others. The ending of the movie was unfortunate. The referee ruled that Rocky lost, but after the game Rocky didn't care about reporters or other people's eyes at all, but called out his girlfriend's name. Seeing this made me want to cry. Qi and his girlfriend desperately want to find each other. In this very chaotic scene, the host and everyone are concerned about winning and losing. Rocky and his girlfriend seem like two separate souls from everyone else, making the end of the film shine.
