Watching Rocky last night made me cry. When I was a child, I watched the video tapes with my father many times, but because I didn't like boxing, I never understood it. ? Only this time I found out that this is not a boxing movie. The film describes the poverty of Rocky, the decline of the eastern Philadelphia industrial area, and the despair of people. In the 1970s, although the United States was still the world hegemon, it encountered huge internal problems. For the first time, the Vietnam War made the US government and soldiers stand on the side of injustice. The elevated highway factory built since the 1930s is old and dilapidated. The children of the last wave of European immigrants are all grown up and chasing their American dream. Descendants of Italian immigrants and Russian immigrants are more American than who?? The jobs in the old industrial areas in the east have been transferred to the Asian Tigers. Faced with huge loss and despair, a poor boy like Rocky who has no background, no family and no inheritance has nowhere to put his blood. Just when he was about to give up, the opportunity came and he seized it. . But the reality may be the opposite, which is what makes the film so inspiring. I think the so-called American dream is that the beautiful golden door is always there, although you can't hook it, otherwise what is it called a dream.
