On the first day of 2013, ten years after the end of the film, I relived it in one breath. With the help of some other movies, I finally got my mind straight and suddenly became enlightened. Many people have commented that ZION is the real world, but I can only say that they have not seen the essence of this movie clearly. There is even an animated version to prove their point of view. I can only say that the animated version is just a continuation of the dog's tail, making money around it and attracting attention. The real structure of the film, let me go into detail.
It is necessary to mention the support of other films I mentioned earlier. Mainly one, Inception. The Matrix and Inception raise the same question, real and unreal. In Inception, Leonardo used implanted consciousness in order to wake his wife from nothingness, which made his wife suspect that the dream was unreal. But there is a problem, if you doubt the current first world, then you must also have reason to doubt the second world after backspace. So Leonardo's wife suspected that the real world was also a dream, so she chose to commit suicide, wanting to return to her so-called real world.
The Matrix also made such a proposition. Where is the real world? Those who stubbornly believe that ZION is a real friend, do you have superpowers in the real world now? Can you see even if you are blind? Can you blow up a machine with your mind? I also saw a comment saying, "If ZION is not real, why didn't NEO save Trinity in the ZION world?" I think the person who asked the question should be able to answer it himself, because ZION is also virtual, so Trinity Ti is just a program, even NEO itself is just a program, how to save or not, to die or not to die?
Let’s just clarify the structure of the movie.
The plot of the first part is already very clear, that is, the so-called robot creates a virtual world, allowing all humans to plug in the power and play live online games. In the "real world" (for convenience, I call the ZION world the "real world"), there are only a small number of human beings who resist, hiding in the city of ZION, constantly rescuing humans who are "addicted" to online games. Robots rule the world because of a wrong decision made by humans. Perhaps, the purpose of ZION is just to survive, but when they found the savior NEO through the mouth of the prophet, they felt that they could counterattack the robots.
What is the difference between the savior and ordinary people in online games? In online games, the savior can play the game against the rules set by the game, for example, NEO can fly, be fast, and cannot be killed. We play games to watch the screen, and NEO plays games to watch the data stream. He can change game data, so he can do anything. How was NEO discovered? directed by the prophets. In the prophet's house, there are also many people with similar "supernormal abilities", such as the child who bent the spoon. One of the more fascinating philosophies of the film emerges. "The spoon itself does not bend, only your mind thinks that the spoon is bent, and the spoon is bent." What's the meaning? Simply put, consciousness determines matter. In the movie, since everyone knows that everyone is playing online games, some network experts can naturally change the game data. Why can't we do it? Because this online game is so real, we can't help but apply the scientific laws of the real world to the virtual world. For example, you must breathe, people have gravity, speed has a limit, and so on. So, with the unremitting efforts of Prophet, Morpheus and others, NEO finally got rid of the mindset, cracked the online game, and became the savior. However, in the "real world", he is like everyone else, an ordinary person. As for those few detectives, such as Smith in the first part, they are similar to the GMs of online games, specializing in cleaning up those who destroy the balance of the game. However, they are programs designed by the computer itself, not a human-controlled GM in an online game. They can occupy the IDs of characters in the virtual world at any time for activities, but only occupy them. Therefore, the translation of the first MATRIX into The Matrix is very reasonable. It is a group of hackers who destroy the balance of online games, the purpose is to rescue people who are addicted to online games and expand the "real world" ZION. The first part ends here.
At the beginning of the second part, NEO fought the agent again and found that the agent became fierce. Of course, there are hackers who can directly change the game code in online games, and the system must be upgraded to the level of GM. However, Smith has changed. Smith sent the headset to NEO, explaining that Smith's program was no longer a subprogram managed by the main program of the online game, and he became independent. His purpose is no longer to be a GM, but to control the entire online game. As for why this program has human-like ambitions. It's because the programmers designed the online game so realistically that the program learned all this after contacting the game IDs with all the characteristics of human beings. Moreover, the Smith program has learned a trick, copying the code, is more ruthless than replacing. Smith begins by hacking into a man named Bane in ZION. Just think, if ZION is really the real world, how can Bain become Smith? You play World of Warcraft, and the person who cheated the point card stole your account, and your real world has also become a point card cheater? Isn't this funny? Therefore, it is precisely because Smith knows that ZION is not real, so Smith must destroy both robots and humans in order to establish a world completely controlled by himself. The episode begins with NEO receiving a gift, a spoon. Not sure if anyone has thought about what this plot means. This is what I said earlier, if you can bend a spoon with your mind in the first world, why don't you wonder if it can be done in the second world? If the second world, the "real world" is also unreal, then you can do the same thing as the virtual world.
The second and third parts were shot together, and then part of the shots were made into twos and part of them into threes. So, I said two or three together. Both the French and the Prophet are a program. And, this program is written by the designer. After NEO learned the news, it gradually began to doubt the prophet. The doubt here is not what some people say about which group the prophets are, but whether the prophets are really prophecies or whether they are programmed. In the end, the Prophet confessed that it was not I who told you what would happen in the future, but what you will do yourself will lead to what will happen in the future. You are prophesying yourself. At the end of the second part, in the designer's room, everything is revealed. Designers strive for perfection every time they design an online game. However, bugs are unavoidable, errors are constantly generated, and designers are exhausted, so they think of letting errors eliminate errors. I call the former the new bug and the latter the old bug. The new mistake is the ZION humans headed only by NEO. Old mistakes are the unbalanced equations in the system that make the real world flawed. The Prophet said that the designer only does one thing, which is to balance the equations. The way he balances it is that the detectives come forward to find old mistakes and then delete them. The French and one-off men are old mistakes. For example, the subway man, he can open up a space in the online game and send the code in the online game to the humans in ZION. In this special space, subway men are invincible, and anyone who comes has to be counseled. The French also have a program for making keys, which can directly find the backdoor of the main program. So, the new bug of NEO, as the designer wished, got rid of the old bug and returned to the main program.
In the main programmer's room, NEO learns that ZION has been destroyed 5 times. Every time a bunch of programs (the prophets), "find" a savior, and go and delete old bugs in the version. After the mission is completed, go back to the main program and restart the system. In the "real world", the robot will also destroy ZION, leaving only 16 women and 7 men, ready to disinfect the system next time. But this time, NEO was different. He actually had love, his reason was overcome by emotion, and he chose to save his girlfriend. At this time, NEO has not completely denied the "real world". The price of choosing love is cruel, ZION will be completely emptied, this is a program setting, not the designer's will. NEO saves his girlfriend and begins to seriously doubt ZION's "real world". The French trapped NEO in a metaspace in order to get revenge on him. Because the French don't want to be washed by system restarts. As for why a program survives, the reason is simple, because all existence must strive to continue to exist. That's the line in the second Morpheus speech that drove everyone crazy, just because we exist! With all the clues in the second part, NEO wants to try the authenticity of the "real world". So, NEO blocked the robot octopus with his hands. After verification, ZION is also virtual. "Real World" is also an online game. NEO is a "new bug" everywhere, and his mission is to find a way to restart the system. Gradually, other people also noticed the unreality of the "real world". For example, some people found that NEO can connect to the host without being plugged in. Trinity said at the end, I know my own mission, which is to take you to the host. There is simply a question of choice here, we are all programs, and our mission is to run the code, done.
However, NEO has lost its usual method of crashing and has to come up with another method. Here, it seems Smith has done NEO a favor. Because of Smith, this is a situation that has not occurred in previous procedures. So that the main program just treats him as a common error. As long as the system crashes, all programs will be restarted, and subroutines not derived from the main program will disappear, such as errors and Smith. However, NEO tells the main program that Smith has hacked into all programs, even the "real world" like a robotic octopus or something. will also be controlled by this new program from Smith. The main program chooses to believe in NEO at this time, why? The reason is very simple, NEO throws out an attractive advantage, that is, there is no need to develop seventh-generation online games, I will help you in and get everything done, and the server will be rolled back to before the error occurs.
In the final duel, the reason why NEO fought with Smith for so long is to let Smith understand that you are also a program, and your program is written to fight against me, and finally copy me, and then everyone perishes together. Smith finally gets it too, so yelling is unfair. But there is no way, this is not Smith's choice, but Smith's program is written and run like this.
Finally, the prophet talks to the main program. The main program said that this game is very dangerous. Where is the danger? The danger is that in the entire Matrix, no matter which world, only one person can choose, that is, the main program. In the entire Matrix, there is no real world at all, just a simulation of the running process of the program. The reason why the main program can be selected is because the programmer is only in charge of the main program. If you choose the wrong one, you will have no World of Warcraft to play.
