Personal opinion is not necessarily correct

. 1.
Mr. Nesbitt and Sir William’s daughter Isabel had an affair, and Isabel had a secret abortion for this. This can be seen from the intimacy of Mr. Nesbitt’s first private meeting with Isabel after his arrival. Secondly, when the maid foreman Elsie met with Isabel before leaving, Isabel asked her if she was pregnant. The conversation hinted:

Isabel: You are not in any difficulty, are you?
Elsie: What , apart from having no home and no job?
Elsie: Nah, There's no worries there.
Isabey: Yes, I was forgetting, you were much clever than I was.

2. Mary First Day When I went downstairs to wash clothes in the evening, I met Mr. Jeremy Blond and the kitchen maid Bertha. I didn’t see Blond. But a few minutes later, I saw Sir William. She thought it was Sir William and Bertha who had an affair, but actually Sir William had an affair with Bertha. William came down to have a tryst with the maid foreman Elsie. This can be seen from Elsie and Mary later when Elsie was definitely not William, and Sir William winked at Elsie during dinner.

In the first hour, you need to concentrate 200% of your energy to smooth the relationship between the characters. Of course, after the conflict broke out, it was really wonderful. In this chaotic deep house compound and the relationship between master and servant, there will always be words in the lines. Needless to say, the performance of you guys is really enjoyable. Is a movie that needs to be watched a second time

Intricate character relationships, complex British dialogue, not a movie that can be seen through once. Now it seems that every actor is a big name in the UK, and even a few are big Hollywood stars. The lineup can be described as gorgeous. While the story line and narrative style are not in line with conventional detective or suspenseful themes, the director's heavy brushwork on the lives of nobles and their servants is ironic.

Gosford Park quotes

  • Morris Weissman: How do you manage to put up with these people?

Ivor Novello: Well, you forget, I make my living impersonating them.

  • Lady Sylvia McCordle: What *are* you wearing?

Isobel McCordle: Don't you like it? You bought it.

Lady Sylvia McCordle: Did I? How extraordinary of me.
