"Sniper"

The whole plot is basically equivalent to a documentary, there is no exaggerated and bizarre protagonist mode, but just tells the story of an American hero from beginning to end. From 9/11 to the Iraq War, we have all experienced it as a bystander. At that time, I didn't have much access to the Internet, so I often watched TV news about how many American soldiers died. It seemed like a number back then. Only after watching the film did I know: just when we grew up carefree, there were such a group of children who were deeply affected by the war. If the kid killed by the legend in the film was still alive, he would probably be about my age. As the heroic children, their father has not been around since childhood, and later became orphans, and they are also victims. World peace is an eternal and elusive goal. Before we can't make it our goal, we should cherish our lives first. Long live peace!

The 84-year-old cowboy, in short, watched one less one. As for the so-called war, how can there be any heroes? Compared with trauma, all the great achievements will only make people sigh and sigh.

The overall filming was very flat, even the war scenes did not burn. The family scenes and the war scenes were cut very strangely. Fortunately, Cooper's acting skills were not bad. The last 30 minutes of shooting were quite good.

American Sniper quotes

  • Tony: Squirrel! Where'd you hide your nuts?

'Squirrel': Nuts crawled up inside, sir. Those little shits are gone. They're nice and warm though now, sir.

  • Wayne Kyle: [to his sons] There are three types of people in this world: sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs. Some people prefer to believe that evil doesn't exist in the world, and if it ever darkened their doorstep, they wouldn't know how to protect themselves. Those are the sheep.

Wayne Kyle: Then you've got predators who use violence to prey on the weak. They're the wolves.

Wayne Kyle: And then there are those blessed with the gift of aggression, an overpowering need to protect the flock. These men are the rare breed who live to confront the wolf. They are the sheepdog.
