It looks beautiful, but it doesn't impress me

I watched it after it won an award. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with the movie itself, but it doesn't impress me. What the whole film wants to call for is what this society lacks: true love, beauty, goodness and beauty. The director made the film flawless and made it "look perfect." Compared to this series of looks, I prefer the special-looking "Three Billboards". The same is resistance, one is the escape of marginalized people, the other is the isolation of social people, the latter needs more energy! Of course, I'm not surprised that The Shape of Water won the Oscar. Which Oscar-winning film is not my taste? There was a topic on Zhihu that talked about the Oscar scoring system, so the best film selected will be the one that is more moderate and can’t go wrong.

Humph, I caught it at a glance! He is not a mermaid like a song of dew, he is a famous monster in Journey to the West, the inspirational king who turned into a goldfish spirit in Tongtianhe!

In order to answer the question of looking for the Polish Mermaid movie, I am here to waste a short review. The movie you are looking for is called "Charm". In addition, this movie reminds me of the nightmare that was ruled by "Beast hybrid".... The difference is " "Human-Beast Hybrid" was filmed, but The Shape of Water won the Golden Lion...

The Shape of Water quotes

  • Giles: Oh! God, to be young and beautiful. If I could go back

    [Elisa nods]

Giles: to when I was 18 - I didn't know anything about anything - I'd give myself a bit of advice.

Elisa: [in sign language] What would you say?

Giles: I would say: Take better care of your teeth and fuck a lot more.

[Elisa smiles and gently nudges him]

Giles: Oh no, no, that's very good advice.

  • [last lines]

Giles: If I told you about her, what would I say? That they lived happily ever after? I believe they did. That they were in love? That they remained in love? I'm sure that's true. But when I think of her - of Elisa - the only thing that comes to mind is a poem, whispered by someone in love, hundreds of years ago: "Unable to perceive the shape of You, I find You all around me. Your presence fills my eyes with Your love, It humbles my heart, For You are everywhere."
