It's not about childhood, it's growing up

It seems like a movie about childhood, but it's not in my opinion, it's a story about growing up.
The time of childhood slowly passed, some people left and grew up, and some people stayed there.

Those little gangsters are actually just like these kids. They are not terribly sinful, they all have their own dark side and flaws. They are also playing childish and dangerous games, but they are different from Gordon and the others. They are like other selves in a world of equality, lost in their childhood years, and still struggling to find.
In pursuit of that sense of identity, in pursuit of that legendary heroism.

The corpse is indeed a metaphor, as well as a node where Chris and Gordon have found their salvation together.
The conversation between Gordon and Christ by the campfire also made Gordon become an elder for the first time, and since then he has the ability to discover the deer (beautiful things, ideals, self) and courage (a leech).
Say goodbye to the shadows of childhood (face the punks).

The story of the fat boy's revenge told by Gordon made me feel that at some point we were all that fat boy, and that there was nothing wrong with ourselves, but the world kept making fun of us, and we were also faced with a double choice. This kind of ending, whether to take revenge to the fullest, and wish to kill all those who mocked and ridiculed us.

Teddy and Vern chose two paths with different directions but the same essence. Teddy didn't like the fat boy's ending. He was still carrying the pain of himself, while Vern was immersed in the trivial life of 1penny and couldn't extricate himself.

Gordie seems to be weak, but in this journey, but through the help he gave, he slowly found himself, and when he returned to the town, everything was incomparable, everything seemed small, the eyes of the town people, the father's Vision is less important, and that sense of identity is not needed, because he has found a new heroism.

As Romain Rolland said: There is only one true heroism in this world, that is to recognize the truth of life and still love him.

Gordie finds the truth about himself, that he is not worthless, he never needs the approval of the small group to be a hero, and that phone call is enough to prove everything even if it is anonymous.

The adult gordie wrote in front of the computer many years later, recalling the past. The childhood gordie looked back on the unbearable past, just like the corpse they were looking for together, which witnessed their growth.

When I saw the gordie code, I also wanted to write something casually. Please encourage me to write a movie review for the first time. I am not the kind of person who is very strict. One, typing is pretty fast anyway.

Various singers around the world have sung it, but who hasn't heard the ending song "Stand by Me"? "Some friends often disappear in a flash, just like pedestrians on the road" "I never made friends again, as good friends as those who were 12 years old, everyone is like this" Friendship is precious, especially When I was young! Could Godi be a writer without Chris' encouragement? 20-year-old Cusack is so charming!

Grow along the rails. "I cherish this moment." Wil and River were a little gay behind them. Jack Bauer played a little hooligan in it. The acting skills of several children are very good. Unfortunately, River died of drug overdose at the age of 23, outside the Viper Room, Johnny Depp's Los Angeles club

Stand by Me quotes

  • Chris: [the boys get dressed and Gordie is recovering from fainting] Maybe, we should take Gordie back.

Teddy: Oh, great, Chambers! Now, you're turning pussy too!

Chris: [Furious] What's your problem, Duchamp? He had a leech hanging from his balls, he fainted!

Teddy: [Also furious] What're you, his mother?

    Chris: [Angrily] Eat shit!

    Teddy: You eat shit!

[Teddy shoves Chris and Vern stops both of them]

Vern: Hey, hey, hey! I think Chris is right, let's just go back.

Teddy: [laughs] What a surprise! The king of the pussies wants to go back too!

    Vern: Stop calling me that!

    Teddy: What, pussy?

    Vern: [Getting angry] Stop it.

    Teddy: Pussy.

    Vern: Stop...

    Teddy: Pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy!

    Vern: You four-eyed psycho.

[Vern is fed up. He charges at Teddy, takes him down. And begins fighting him]

Teddy: Ow! Get off me! Ow, get...

Vern: [Fighting Teddy and punching him over and over] Two for flinching, you like it? Huh? Do I get two for flinching? You like it, Teddy?

Chris: Come on, guys. Break it up.

Gordie: [to himself, quietly] Stop it... stop it.

[to Chris, Teddy and Vern, yelling]

    Gordie: Stop it!

    [quietly]

    Gordie: I'm not going back.

  • Gordie: Shut up!

Teddy: I don't shut up, I grow up, and when I look at you, I throw up!
