It's a good movie, but the movie, like the godfather in the movie, has been unable to regain its former glory. Compared with the first two films, "The Godfather 3" maintains the consistent image style and narrative style of the Godfather, but there is a big gap between the depth of the story and the characterization of the first two films. In fact, "The Godfather 3" is more of a reflection of the second godfather "Mike" on his ups and downs in his later years. And "Mike" has also become the character that the film focuses on. Almost all the themes of the film are shown through the image of "Mike", which is different from the previous two splendid group plays. Because of the different emphases of performance, "The Godfather" has gradually evolved from the original discussion of rationality to the theme of "fatalism" that has been constantly emphasized around the role of "Mike" in his later years.
In fact, "The Godfather 3" still tells a very good story, but compared with the shock and reflection brought by the first two "3", it is much weaker, but the collective murder in the last 30 minutes of the film is still the same as before. Wonderful, excellent use of montage allows the audience to harvest the shock of the soul in the thrilling and tense atmosphere.
