be a dedicated craftsman

The movie I started watching when I was still with my ex, he didn't want to watch it with me, and I finished watching it after the breakup. It is a sad and inspirational story. It is a story of an individual craftsman (technician) challenging an industrialized group. Because it is adapted from a real person, the ending is still sadly true. I can't help but think, whether to be a craftsman who retains his original personality and craftsmanship, or to become a screw in an industrial factory, subtly accepting the alienation of his mind brought by the bureaucratic hierarchy in the factory.
