Two brushes. Really love Wes Anderson. It's like a fairy tale version of "Fuck the World". We like this kind of stories because in reality, maybe we are also such weird children who are not understood by the people around us. We are tired of the repeated environment, but in reality we can't have such a dreamy elopement. However, Director Wei has created a fairy tale. The island, and the adults take children's tricks very seriously, these plots make people feel absurd and beautiful. Director Wei's films often depict the superstructure of society. Like electroshock therapy, orphanages, and other social institutions mentioned in the film. The black-and-white photo of the orphanage may be the only thing that contradicts the film's warm plot and color scheme, but the film's time setting in the 1950s may be the reality. But Wes Anderson seems to have been using the innocence of his films to fend off the darkness of reality

Nima, I don’t even have the guts of a child~ BTW. The style of Bruce’s last climb to the tower is much like "Sin City"

Textbook Wes Anderson eye-bleeding colour scheme.

Moonrise Kingdom quotes

  • Sam: Listen to some reason. I don't like you. You don't like me. So, why don't you just let us disappear?

Redford: Well, it's tempting, but we can't allow it.

  • Suzy: I know what you do with that sad, dumb policeman.

Laura Bishop: [long shocked stare] He's not dumb... But I guess he is kind of sad.
