The story of "Hidden" is actually very old-fashioned and revolves around the living environment of an American family of five. Most of the first half are scenes from life, which will give you a heartbeat from time to time. The control is terrifying, and at the end, it is still very "Wen Ziren" to give you a reversal.
There are still many classic elements of Wen Ziren's horror films in this film, such as scientific detection instruments, magic methods, puppets and dolls... The images of several ghosts are also amazing enough, red-faced devils, old women in black wedding dresses, supernatural twins, and ghosts from all walks of life. Can be scary. In fact, I prefer the atmosphere of the first half. The life-like scenes and the clues under the cloth make people follow the plot with trepidation. When the goddess is channeled, the male protagonist enters the claustrophobic space and the devil does not feel scary. In the end, the reversal of the male protagonist being possessed by a demon and killing the goddess is explained through camera records. This is also where Wen Ziren is brilliant. He did not use a lot of blood plasma to highlight the degree of fright, but gave the audience a good psychological hint. At the end of the film, the heroine's panicked turn gave the audience a reverie, and the death of the goddess also laid a lot of foreshadowing for the second part...
