Being who you are is more important than anything else

It truly shows the rebellious family situation in adolescence, the various difficulties faced by parents, the daughter's rebelliousness, as well as the discussion of faith and the definition of happiness. This film should be remade in China, the same story, different social culture, must be interesting.

In the last part of my mother's driving, I cried to tears. Many times we would rather share our true feelings with outsiders, and leave the worst side to our family. Because of low self-esteem and lying to new friends, I feel the same way. The cruelty of society requires us to use shells to protect ourselves, but in the end, we are beaten back to reality. Being who we really are is more important than anything else.

Although considered a new director, Greta is already considered a veteran in this autobiographical theme of girl growth and mother-daughter relationship, and many elements have been seen in Franley. The story is calm, and it's all about the ordinary things that happened to American high school students a year before they went to college (in her movie it seems that girls will go to college in New York at the end), but everything is very delicate and not overly exaggerated. The warmth is a good description of the life of "happiness in suffering"

I like the part about frustration, not the ending. High school sucks, full negative mom sucks, having a dream you can't afford sucks.
