Annie Hall

A semi-autobiographical film, I feel Woody Allen, the master artist, in the film, the male protagonist has a stubbornness towards emotional problems and some dissatisfaction. As a movie audience, I seem to be listening to him tell his story in the film There are quite a few scenes where Woody Allen is talking to us. The male protagonist, Ivey, is a very contradictory individual who likes to laugh at himself (he is very concerned about his Jewish identity), self-intoxicated spirit of victory, but he despises some literati who are pretentious. But I also look down on people who do nothing (two Mexican passers-by in the play) I really like the line in the play "I would never want to join such a club. The members are people like me." Lonely last line explains that Woody Allen's comparison of love to a story between two lunatics is absurd and irrational, but we "most need eggs" This is the god of modern romance movies. The reason for the four stars is because it is confusing to keep the character of the male protagonist

Old Woody is really the King of Tuberculosis!

Woody Allen's neuroticism and non-stop trivial talk like a machine gun may be his monologue. To interpret the director's work as an actor is a re-experience and expression of the ontology, a kind of information about the middle class. The paradoxical attitudes of the petty bourgeoisie towards life, the other self, love and sex, desire intimacy and passion while rejecting communication and understanding. Not only does he aloofly despise those pretenders who talk about learning to be rich, but also pretends to be a force all the time, and also delusionally wants to train his girlfriend to be the type he likes. Those who yearn for death, despise worldly life, and are full of prejudice against Jews, but also have the spirit of Ah Q, who yearns for success, and is full of arrogance and prejudice against others. Anne Hall is indeed like a ray of light in his life, touching his withdrawn and arrogant but very vulnerable place with tolerance, enterprising, curiosity, tenderness and passion. But because of his strong desire for control, neuroticism and paranoia, he also lost her. The form is very interesting, split screen, the fourth wall, the monologue record that breaks the boundaries of the illusory reality, the passers-by on the street answering questions and interviews, the soul during sex Out of body, parallel editing, interesting and moving

Annie Hall quotes

  • Pam: I hope you don't mind that I took so long to finish

Alvy Singer: No - I'm starting to get some feeling back in my jaw now.

  • Alvy Singer: After that, it got pretty late and we both had to go, but it was great seeing Annie again. I realized what a terrific person she was and how much fun it was just knowing her. And I thought of that old joke: this guy goes to a psychiatrist and says, 'Doc, my brother's crazy; he thinks he's a chicken.' And the doctor says, 'Well, why don't you turn him in?' The guy says, 'I would, but I need the eggs.' Well, I guess that's pretty much now how I feel about relationships: they're totally irrational, and crazy, and absurd, and... but, I guess, we keep goin' through it because most of us... need the eggs.
