Only Bella's thoughts can't be read by others. When Bella knew that her daughter was leaving, but couldn't tell Edward, she felt so strong and distressed, so cool.
The most touching point in the movie to me is the reason why Bella made a choice between Edward and Jake. She actually likes both of them, but she feels that she is not suitable for being a human being, that human beings are too complicated, too ordinary, and her own Ideas are always contrary to human ideas. In the world of vampires, you can make yourself more brave, more passionate, and more able to be yourself.
