Aliens shooting process

Producer Gail Anne Hurd decided to shoot the film in England because it would not only save money, but also because of the continuity of the film. Most of the technicians who have filmed "Alien" live in England, and they laid a solid foundation for the film. Cameron believes that the appeal of the film lies in its ability to use people's imagination, such as dealing with alien weapons in the film. Cameron said that he did not want to be a slave to the movie, but the weapons in the movie are really attractive. Although Cameron believes that weapons are one of the highlights in the film, Xue Gone Weaver, who plays the heroine Ripley, opposes this. Weaver didn't like weapons. During the shooting, she was exposed to different kinds of strange weapons every day, which made her feel very uncomfortable. She is a member of the American Gun Control Association, and her role in such a bloody science fiction film makes her feel very confused.
In the middle of the filming, Cameron replaced James Lima, who played Hecks, with Michael Bain. Cameron didn't want to say anything more about this. He thought it would be appropriate to use "different artistic viewpoints" to summarize. There was also an accident during the shooting, and a fire broke out in the canopy. At that time, the actors were filming the scene of the retreat to APG, and the flamethrower ignited the studio. Because the set is made of plastic, when it burns, the toxic gas almost suffocates the actors.

The foreshadowing was long-winded, and it took more than an hour for the first small alien to appear. The ultimate confrontation between the heroine and the queen alien once again confirms the ultimate dominance of females in this type of film (and both pros and cons) [Also, the android bishop is my favorite character

Aliens quotes

  • Lieutenant Gorman: Hicks, meet me at the south lock. We're coming in.

    Corporal Hicks: Roger.

Private Hudson: [to Vasquez] He's comin' in. I feel safer already.

    Private Vasquez: Pendejo jerk off...

  • Ripley: Well, somebody's gonna have to go out there. Take a portable terminal, go out there and patch in manually.

Private Hudson: Oh yeah, sure! With those things runnin' around? You can count me out.

Corporal Hicks: Yeah, I guess we can just count you out of everything, Hudson.

Bishop: [speaking under Hicks] I'll go.

    Private Hudson: That's right, man.

    Bishop: I'll go.

Private Hudson: Hey, why don't *you* go, man!

    Bishop: [more loudly] I'll go.

    Ripley: What?

Bishop: I'll go. I mean, I'm the only one qualified to remote-pilot the ship anyway.

Private Hudson: Yeah right, man, Bishop should go.

[Vasquez looks at Hudson with disgust]

    Private Hudson: Good idea!

Bishop: Believe me, I'd prefer not to. I may be synthetic, but I'm not stupid.
