Aspiring medical student Paula (frankapotente), who is finally admitted to the prestigious Heidelberg research institute, hopes to follow her grandfather's mantle and become a great doctor. During the Anatomie class, she discovered that the corpse on the Anatomie stage was actually someone she knew, so she actively and secretly investigated the source of the corpse, and found that there was a mysterious society that used cruel methods to study living people. A bizarre disappearance, she decided to continue to dig the truth about mercury.
