Big Fish Negative Evaluation of

Even though the film has an exaggerated style, it still cannot conceal its weakness. The scriptwriter’s problem lies in compressing a highly detailed book into a movie, leaving only the plot frame, while the details are randomly intercepted scenes rather than complete stories, lacking suspense and coherence. The son's superficial image, lack of credibility and behavioral motives made the contradiction between father and son seem far-fetched, and the son's attitude changed suddenly at the end. The director puts too much emphasis on style and light on stories and characters, and his preference for decorative narratives in the south is "too much too much", and he is too obsessed with the world of images he created. The bluff and grand ending make the film fall into a patterned deadlock.
