"Café Society" combines the Hollywood background and narrative style to give this cheesy love triangle a touch of novelty. The photographer's dark lens is magnificent, turning the wooden office and restaurant into a dreamlike scene. Every shot of the film glows with classical beauty, which also reflects the lack of fullness in the director's story. In short, the soft and warm colors, the whispering and stunning lines, and the sharp black humor.
The lines of "Café Society" are still very literary. The easy and simple narrative narration, coupled with the constant laughter, and the dialogue with strong narrative attributes, make the whole movie look like a travelogue sketch or a realism based on current abuses. Short stories, the script composed in this way has a lot of information, every detail is meaningful, and the supporting roles in each scene are not superfluous, and they are mutually linked. Because of these vivid details, the characters have a distinctive literary taste. The characters are extreme to the personality characteristics of a madman, with acrid irony to describe the ups and downs of a woman's life.
The film has a fascinating illusory temperament, just as it should be, with exquisite settings, interesting people, and philosophical content.
The film presents the perspective of an old director, dealing with the gap between dreams and reality, and also presenting persistent regrets.
